English Sofas Guarantee — Payment, Delivery and Returns

We inspect all our furniture carefully before shipment and are confident that all our products are of the highest quality.  We also guarantee all our regular sofas against any manufacturing defect for a minimum of 12 months.   Visit our testimonials page and buy with confidence.

Returns Policy

We would like you to feel every confidence in buying from us and so are prepared to accept the return of any purchase you are not happy with, as long as you inform us within 7 days. The only exception is where a sofa has been adapted to a unique specification.    There is a charge of £75 to pay towards the cost of delivering and returning the sofa(s) which can be as much as £190.

Groupon Parcel Returns

Where you would like to return a parcel as part of a Groupon deal we charge a flat fee of £25.  Please ensure the goods are returned as received and placed in their original boxes.

Payment

We ask you for a deposit of 25% on made-to-order items and then the balance once your order is ready; payment in-full on stock items. Delivery

We use experienced furniture carriers to deliver our sofas and suites. We ask you to provide us with your phone number so they can ring you to arrange a time and date for delivery.

Reliable two-man home deliveries are fairly pricey.  We therefore find it neccessary to subsidise the cost.  We charge £58 for one item, £88 for two items and £98 for 3 items per delivery within mainland UK. There is a surcharge for deliveries to Cornwall, Northern Scotland and Northern & Southern Ireland - please enquire for an exact quote.

[Many of our chairs and Swivel-Recliners are sent by parcel carriers.  The cost of delivery £15 per item except to Northern Ireland which is an extra £10.]

We ask you to check the measurements to ensure they will fit through halls and doorways. If the exact measurements are crucial to fit into your allocated space it is advisable to recheck them with us.

The carrier will remove the packing on arrival. We ask you to ensure that the furniture is intact. In the unlikely event you find anything damaged please ask the carrier to take it back and we will replace it as soon as we can.

Most of our frames are of solid Birch, Beech or Ash hardwood, and seats are either steel sprung or layered with high tension webbing. Hides are selected and finished by leather experts.
